On October 12-13, 2017, a training workshop on "Research and Use of Indigenous Knowledge in Adaptation to Climate Change" sponsored by APN was held in Thai Nguyen City.

Vice Director of the ADC - Dr. Ho Ngoc Son made the opening remark
Participants in the training workshop included representatives of organizations from the NorthNet network, scientific research organizations, researchers and staff from Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry.
As a leading non-governmental organization for the study of indigenous knowledge or traditional knowledge in mountainous areas, ADC organized the workshop with the expectation to promote the maintenance and conservation of indigenous knowledge of ethnic minority communities in climate change adaptation.
In this training workshop, based on the agro-ecological development projects using the indigenous knowledge that ADC is implementing in the project areas, ADC has outlined the importance and role of the IK as a valuable resource for addressing climate change. At the same time, the delegates also shared the experience, knowledge about IK and measures to adapt to climate change of themselves and organizations.

ADC expects that through this training, IK will be extensively researched and applied in the development of ecological agriculture adaptation model.
