During the training, ADC staff worked directly with the people in this community by using tools like Vision Journey - to determine their visions in near future, find out the advantages and disadvantages, develop the roadmap and solutions to achieve their visions successfully based on their actual situations; the Chalenge Action Tree – to figure out focal problems, demonstrations and the causes of them, then offer solutions; Gender Balance Tree – to identify the division of the housework, the imbalance in decision-making between men and women, and then provide resolutions to change.
After the training, special thanks were given to CARE, Oxfam and Lao Cai Department of Agriculture and Rural Development for their enthusiastic guidance, sharing experience as well as giving clear explanation about GALS.
