September 15th, 2015, Dr. Ho Ngoc Son - Deputy Director of the ADC participated in the workshop: "Policy consulting on coping with climate change for the provincial officials", an activity of the project "Promoting Climate Resilient Rural Infrastructure in Northern Mountainous Provinces" in Tam Dao. The project is implemented by UNDP funded by Global Environment Fund (GEF) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The workshop is for the agricultural and environmental cadres of the northern mountainous provinces.

During the workshop, Dr. Ho Ngoc Son shared about the lessons learned and experiences of the Center in climate change adaptation (CC) such as community-based adaptation to climate change, integrating climate change adaptation into  policies implemented in the northern mountainous region to enhance the capacity of local people to adapt to climate change. The share of Dr. Ho Ngoc Son had been appreciated by experts and officials of the province participated for the ability to apply and replicate in the provinces.

These results marked one of the Center's successes in asserting its position as the research center which has extensive experience in the field of climate change and adaptation community based to climate change. In the future, the Center will continue to promote the in-depth study on climate change, natural resource management, etc, towards the sustainable development of the communities of the northern mountainous nation.
