The working visit of representatives of CARE International, CARE Vietnam, Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs

In two days 3 - 4 March 2016, Ms. Marion Mayer Hohdahl - Representative of CARE International in Austria; Ms.Nguyen Thu Phuong - representative of CARE International in Vietnam; Mr. Nguyen Van Long - Center for Journalism and Communication, Foreign Ministry visited and worked with ADC and ethnic minority communities in the project areas supported by ADC in Bac Kan.

In order to welcome the delegation, there were Assoc. Prof. Tran Van Dien - Director of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry and all center staffs of ADC. This is the first visit of CARE Austria, Center for Journalism and Communication, Foreign Ministry to ADC, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry.

With the results obtained from the effort and cooperation between and ADC and CARE International in Vietnam in the field of development and support minority communities, there were 3 purposes of this visiting time of the representative of the CARE  international in Austria, Foreign Ministry and CARE international in Vietnam: (1) Visiting and working with leaders and staffs of ADC and orienting for cooperation and support in the future, (2) Sharing the experiences and results of ADC in supporting the sustainable development of ethnic minority communities and enhancing capacity for ethnic minority women, and (3) Making films about the group livelihood models led by women and sharing experiences in building group livelihood models orienting as group cooperating models, cooperation led by women.

Ending the visit, ADC and the delegation appreciated the results of the cooperation in the past time and look forward to comprehensive and long-term cooperation in future. The delegation also appreciated the results that projects have brought in meeting the needs and aspirations of the communities in sustainable development, supporting ethnic minority communities in Bac Kan province, improving the life quality. Besides, ADC and the delegation also confirmed that the results of the visiting and working trip will contribute to strengthening the relationship and opening the comprehensive cooperation between ADC and CARE International in Austria, CARE International in Vietnam, the Foreign Ministry in the future.
