ADC shared experiences in developing FLEGT network in Laos

On 10 - 11 December 2015, Mr. Ho Ngoc Son Deputy Director of ADC represented for VNGO-FLEGT network (Vietnam Non-governmental organization on Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade issues) shared experiences in building and developing FLEGT network, results and lessons of the participation of non-governmental organizations in Vietnam in the process of negotiation of Voluntary Partnership Agreement (VPA) with European Union (EU).

Vietnam has begun to carry VPA negotiations since 2010. ADC is a core member of the VNGO-FLEGT network with more than 50 member organizations. Since the foundation in 2012, VNGO-FLEGT Network has made many important contributions for the Administration of Forestry in the VPA negotiation processes such as: provided information and suggestions for the documentations, shared experiences from communities. The expectations of VNGO-FLEGT Network is to be recognized as a trusty partner in protecting the rights of  weak and vulnerable groups such as those who plant and exploit forest  and able to be affected by the implementation of VPA.
