Training on "Integrating climate change into local socio-economic development plans" for staffs of Dien Bien Province

In two days from 18th to 19th August, 2015, in the framework of cooperation with the Center for Community Development (CCD) in Dien Bien, Dr Ho Ngoc Son - Deputy Director of the Center ADC has supported the provincial officials of Dien Bien Province to enhancing capacity for climate change (CC), integrating climate change into the socio-economic development plan.
Through the training, the participants were enhanced capacity on climate change and skills in integrating climate change into socio-economic development planning of the province. The training course not only provided the participants the knowledge and valuable experience but also created lasting relationships among the ADC, Dien Bien province, the CCD and partners in Dien Bien Province. Furthermore, the ADC has demonstrated its role as a leading organization in research and training in the field of climate change, supporting communities to cope with climate change in the northern mountainous region.
