The working visit to WEAVE project area

On 10th and 11th of August, 2017, ADC, Bac Kan Women's Union and Care International in Vietnam conducted the working visit activities in Thanh Van commune, Cho Moi district, Bac Kan province.This activity is part of the 2017 work plan of the Women’s Economic Empowerment through Agriculture Value Chain Enhancement (WEAVE Project). There are also reporters from different newspapers participating in the activity to collect information about the project support for people in the region.

To gain the overall picture and insights into the economic empowerment of women through the enhancement of the banana value chain, the delegation held a working visit to houses of the representatives of Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA), banana collectors and growers, and also the banana fields.

This activity is an opportunity for not only ADC, Bac Kan Women's Union and Care International in Viet Nam to share the activities of supporting poor women and indigenous women in economic development, but also the opportunity for these women to share life-changing experiences since receiving supports from the project activities.
