On July 9-10, 2017, the ADC organized for representatives of local authorities in Thanh Van and Mai Lap communes, the Coordination Committee and leaders of VSLA, collectors and representatives of some banana-growing households to visit the factory processing agricultural products and dried fruit of Minh Duong Co., Ltd in Nam Dinh city, production cooperation model under the economic contract between Bao Xuyen Cooperative (Vu Ban district, Nam Dinh province) with Minh Duong company, and Fair Trade Garden of Sunshine company in Ha Dong, Hanoi.

During the two-day visit, the delegation visited Minh Duong Company and was shared about the process of processed banana products and quality standards of fresh banana as well as banana products and directly visit the banana processing line. Minh Duong Company also shared about the expected yields per year of fresh banana for purchasing. Through this visit, the delegation saw the consumption potential of banana as well as the opportunity to cooperate with Minh Duong company. The delegation, especially the Coordination Committee and representatives of the banana growers understand why they have to ensure the quality of fresh banana products to meet the requirements of enterprises. Moreover, members have observed and compared banana products from different localities, thus finding that bananas in their locality need to improve quality further.

Through discussion with Bao Xuyen Cooperative, which is carrying out production under economic contracts with enterprises for fresh corn products. Team members recognize that strict application of the technical process into production and compliance with contractual agreements between the two parties is particularly important.

Visiting Fair Trade Garden – a business model of Sunshine Company, representative of Sunshine Company shared the opportunity for business cooperation with local clean agricultural products, especially western bananas, in the condition that they meet the quality standards.

Finish the trip, the team members felt very confident and motivated to produce, simultaneously, unanimously committed to manufacturing to create banana products with higher quality.
