Main objectives: Exploiting and developing genetic resources of Cunninghamia konishii Hayata in Ha Giang province.

Expected outcomes:

• Providing knowledge about biological characteristics, propagation and planting techniques.

• Assessing the value of genetic resources of Cunninghamia konishii Hayata

• Selecting 30 mother trees; building 1 ha breeding forest; 5 hectares of Cunninghamia konishii Hayata plantations.

• Building technical  guidance of Cunninghamia konishii Hayata plantations.

Implementation outcomes:

• 1 report about biological characteristics and the value of genetic resources was finalized.

• 2 technical guidances were documented

• 1 description of seedling standards was developed

• 30 mother trees has been developed and conserved

• 1.5 ha of seedling forest has developed (450 trees)

• 3 ha of concentrated forest has developed

• 2 ha scattered forest (1000 trees) has developed

• 1 masters was successfully guided through the project.

• 11 journals have been published.
