Promotion of indigenous knowledge based climate change resilient and organic farming practices in the northen mountainous region of Vietnam

Location: Cho Moi district, Bac Kan Province

Budget: 12,000USD

Main objectives:

  • To enhance awareness, understanding, and the knowledge of indigenous based climate change resilient livelihoods and sustainable farming practices for local communities especially women communities, and civil society organizations (NorthNet members), local government staffs
  • To promote the application of those sustainable farming practices in the NorthNet’s member organisations working provinces (Bac Kan, Yen Bai, Ha Giang, Phu Tho, Cao Bang and Hoa Binh).

Expected outcomes:

  • A study tour for studying and sharing experience will be organized for key farmers from other project sites, CSOs from NorthNet, local government officials
  • A training workshop on scaling up the IK based agroecological livelihood practices will be organized.
  • The documentations of models and practices (guideline, model reports, handbook) will be developed.
