APWLD is the leading network of feminist organizations and individual activists in Asia and the Pacific

APWLD is the leading network of feminist organizations and individual activists in Asia and the Pacific. Our 265 members represent groups of diverse women from 30 countries in Asia and the Pacific. Over the past 34 years, APWLD has actively worked towards advancing women’s human rights and Development Justice. We are an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organization and hold consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

APWLD fosters feminist movements in the Asia Pacific to influence laws, policies, and practices at the local, national, regional, and international levels. We develop capacities, produce and disseminate feminist analyses, conduct advocacy, and foster networks and spaces for movement building to claim and strengthen women’s human rights. APWLD empowers women in the region to use the law as an instrument of change for equality, justice, peace, and Development Justice.

In 2017, the regional training course “Women Participatory Action Research on Climate Justice” held in Nepal ended. This activity is part of the Women's Participatory Action Research on Climate Justice (CJ-FPAR) program 2017-2018 organized by the Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law, and Development. (APWLD) an organization that helps rural, indigenous, migrant, and urban poor women to monitor, participate in, and influence climate policies that affect them. There are 10 organizations participating in this program and ADC is the only participant from Vietnam.

ADC and 9 other organizations representing 10 countries in the Asia Pacific region had the opportunity to learn, exchange, and share knowledge and experiences on building activities/movement and corporate climate. This was a great opportunity for ADC to learn and improve their knowledge about running participatory research on climate companies and creating partnerships with external organizations. ADC strives to support women of origin - who are most affected by climate change to have climate companies for a just and equal society.
